My name is Flonetta Morris and I am the Human Relations Rep for the union. I have been a postal employee for 23 years, and a steward for 22 years. It is with great pleasure that I find referrals for displaced postal employees that need some type of outside help. There are many agencies that can help with food, shelter or medical assistance for postal workers. If an employee has problems with his mortgage (ie forclosure) or if he is depressed or under a great deal of stress I will find a referral for him or put him in contact with someone that can help. When the National Conventions come up there is usually a pre-convention seminar for the Human relations reps from all over the United States and this is where I also garner information. There will be many soldiers coming home soon. I would like to work in conjunction with our military representative John Smeekins to aid or assist displaced military men and women. This is a trying time for our country with the economy such as it is. I am here to help in any way I can.
